The voices of others can help us escape the tyranny of the familiar. Especially this year, when our worlds have got smaller, and we’ve all experienced a kind of cultural claustrophobia, and around the world various degrees of Locked-down Christmas are on the horizon. We need one another.
And so we present… Joy To The World, an international reading of the Nativity Story. We asked Christian brothers and sisters from 24 different countries to read Luke chapter 2 with us, a verse a day, from 1st to 24th December. From Jamaica to Rwanda, and Montenegro to Japan, each day during Advent we will receive season’s greetings, a Scripture reading, and a little cultural insight by video. Each video is only 2-3 minutes long.

You can find these videos dropping daily throughout December on the Reading Family Church YouTube channel (Reading Family Church – YouTube), or subscribe here (Reading Family Church (list-manage.com)) to receive them by email every day straight to your inbox.
“And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”
This good news is for all people.
This great joy is for all people.
All people are commanded to behold.
All people are encouraged not to fear.
