Jesus was born to be King for all nations.

Even within a few verses of his birth in Matthew 2, he was honoured by wise men from the East (2:11), and taken to Egypt for a while (2:14), whilst the king of his own people tried to kill him (2:16). It is clear even from this snippet that the birth of Jesus was an international gift, re-drawing lines of belonging away from ethnicity to instead focus on his Person. Jesus is an international king, with a global kingdom.
In celebration of this great truth, this Advent season the Unreached Network brings you Twelve Songs for Christmas. We have curated a selection of worship songs from across the Newfrontiers family and around the world, in different languages and styles, all focused on the person of Jesus, our international king.
The composing of fresh worship music for the people of God to sing has always been a sign of the life of the Spirit in the Church, and has long been a strength within the Newfrontiers family.
Twelve Songs for Christmas will present a genuine flavour of the multi-lingual diversity of our global family. Each song (via our YouTube and SoundCloud channels) will be accompanied by a blog post about the song’s cultural context, and an English translation of the lyrics.
There will of course be variance in quality of musicianship and production – representative of global discrepancies in resource across the body of Christ.
Our prayer this Advent season is for unity.
There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. (Ephesians 4:4-6).

The Unreached Network exists to inspire and strengthen cross cultural mission to Unreached Peoples across the global Newfrontiers family.
We do this by training, resourcing, inspiring and creating spaces for network, with individuals, churches and spheres as they take responsibility for sending.
