Join Us at ‘New Nations’ in Penang!

Have you ever wanted to see the world from a completely different perspective?

The first time I visited Penang island was last year. It’s an extraordinary place! It’s both physically stunning (dense jungle, idyllic beaches, incredible architecture), and culturally fascinating, with a rich history of Chinese and Indian diasporic presence as well as indigenous Malay. It’s not uncommon to find a Hindu temple, Buddhist temple, mosque and church on the same street!

The Unreached Network, in partnership with Regions Beyond and Cornerstone Church, Penang, are hosting a unique missions conference on Penang Island this March. We’d love you to join us!

What can you expect?

We have several experienced Asian leaders lined up to teach us about the Bible and church planting in uniquely Asian contexts. And we have experienced cross-cultural trainers ready to equip us in the challenge of serving Christ across cultures.

So, whether you are already serving across cultures, or whether you are exploring a call, this will be a brilliant space for you to be in.

We will worship Jesus in many languages, hear stories and pray for brothers and sisters across many nations.

There will be tailored opportunities for one-to-one coaching and work in focus groups around your particular area of interest.

And all of it in an immersive Asian context, on the cutting edge of what God is doing today, surrounded by like-minded and experienced practitioners.

I’ve already started preparing my session on “How Revelation 4 and 5 can help us contextualise the gospel for Asia.”

We’ve tried to make the conference as cheap as possible, aware that flights to Penang can be expensive. If you would like to come but are unsure about how you will afford it, please get in touch.

Booking Information

Booking is available via https://cornerstonepenang.com/new-nations, or get in touch at newnationspenang@gmail.com

The conference will run 10-12th March inclusive. There will also be a launch celebration 🥳 for Cornerstone Church Penang on 15th March. We welcome you to stay and explore the island 🌴after the conference and to join us for the launch celebration.

This really is a unique and quite special opportunity. We’d love to see you there!
