Modern research shows us that a large majority of those around the globe are reliant on orality for their communication, thought, and action. However, the models we tend to utilize to make disciples often rely much more on the written word. Shouldn’t we be ensuring our approach to discipleship is shaped by the needs and preferences of our target audience? If so, shouldn’t understanding orality and its implications more fully be on the forefront of our thinking and discussions?
