The Activate internship is a fantastic opportunity for you develop as a missionary or church planter, and to explore your call to Japan or East Asia.
This internship is especially suited for missionaries looking for a part-time option that can work alongside Japanese study, part-time work, or caring for family needs.
Content
While doing the internship, you can expect to do:
3 hours of weekly training
2 hours in the harvest weekly
2 hours of serving in the church
2 hours of weekly assignments
Weekly training and discussion will be composed of:
- Discipleship and church planting teaching based on the fruitful ‘Four Fields’ principles
- Biblical theology
- Cross-cultural training
Serving
On the internship, you will have the opportunity to do 2 Hours a week serving in the harvest of Japan. You may choose to serve within:
- Street/Campus Outreach
- The Global Cafe
- Mercy ministries
- ESOL ministry
Local Church
Activate works in partnerships across Nagoya and can help connect you to the right place. They will help you find a local church you can serve and learn from as you study.
Language Study
You will also have the opportunity to join Connect’s part time Japanese language study program for four days a week. They offer high-quality lessons with experienced teachers in Imaike who can teach you online or in-person at their school in Nagoya.
