Hope for Communities are looking for Trustees to join our team, do you share our vision and have the skills that our team need to help us bring hope to communities.
Hope for Communities is a UK registered Charity that was founded in 2018 by Sharo and Alexis Ahmedi.
Sharo and Alexis live and work in the Kurdish region of Northern Iraq. At present the projects that the charity are running are a community centre in the heart of a
refugee/displaced community. We have been running this centre since the charity started and we offer the two things most requested by the community, English
Language Classes and Karate Classes.
For over a year we have also been working as a charity in a number of local orphanages, offering a variety of age dependent activities and support for children ranging from 0 to

Hope for Communities has an excellent team of Trustees who offer a lot of support, wisdom and encouragement to Sharo and Alexis as directors of the charity. However as
the charity grows in size there are a number of areas that neither Sharo or Alexis, or our Trustees feel they have the necessary skills to support the development and growth of.
Also for many of our trustees their time is limited, and so it would be great to have trustees who would have greater capacity to voluntarily invest time in the day to day running
of the charity. Some of the skills we think it would be great to have more of, in our team of Trustees are:
• Finances and Accounting
• Fundraising
• Social Media and Marketing
• Charity Administration Experience
