The next worship song in our series comes from Lebanon, and was written by Paul Awaraji. The name of the song is ‘ترنيمة الله لنا‘ (‘Tarnimat Allah lana’) in Arabic, which translates to ‘God’s Song for Us’ in English.
You can enjoy this beautiful worship song below, or here.
About the Song
Paul Awaraji is a Lebanese songwriter and worship leader, part of Holy Spirit Church in Beirut.

This song, based on Psalm 46, is an extremely popular Arabic-language worship tune.
The video is filmed in the snowy mountains of Lebanon – perhaps a surprise to those who have never visited this part of the Middle East. Lebanon, often called “the Switzerland of the Middle East” is a popular skiing and snowboarding destination. It has often been said that it is the one place on earth where you can ski in the mountains in the morning, and swim in the Mediterranean Sea in the afternoon!
Holy Spirit Church is a vibrant charismatic community, well-loved for its song-writing and worship broadcasts. This song can also be found here as part of a live worship service during Christmas three years ago.
Psalm 46
God is our refuge and strength
A very present help in trouble
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth trembles
and though the mountains be shaken and slip into the heart of the seas
The city of God rejoices
In the dwelling places of the Most High
With a river whose streams never stop
